It is actually the most common form of Acne. Acne can range from mild to severe and can cover age ranges from babies to adults. This most common of skin disease occurs mostly in teenagers and ranges from mild to moderate and severe. It is a condition not to be taken lighty because with it can bring low self esteem.
Acne can affect millions every years and occurs because hormones overproduce oil which is called sebum. This overproduction in effect clogs the hair follicles which leads to pimples. Most of us think that pimples only occur on the face, but they also can be found on the chest and upper back. The pimples usually come in 3 types. These are called blackheads, whiteheads and zits.
As stated previously, acne occurs when the follicle becomes blocked. This is how whiteheads are created. Most sufferers want to pop it, but you can actually damage the area of the skin where it is located. Therefore caution is advised.
When the pores become only partially blocked, due to the overproduction of the sebum oil, blackheads then occur. It has been found that blackheads can take much longer to disappear.
Lastly a pimple that is found to be irritated is called a zit. Sufferers will know that the area around the zit is red. Again caution is advised if you are popping a zit because damage can be caused which results in scarring.
In Acne Vulgaris the severe forms of this skin disease include what is known as nodules and cysts. The nodule to the touch will feel like a hard form of tissue. The cyst is a large pimple and as all sufferers know, they do not look nice because they are actually filled with fluid. The pain associated with the cyst is because of the infection under the skin.
As above with the whiteheads and blackheads in acne vulgaris, extreme caution and more so with nodules and especially cysts must be advised if you are attempting to squeeze them. I would advise proper advice from a qualified dermatologist and also
